Yolanda Awung was born and raised in Cameroon, a country in West Africa. She completed her Nursing Degree at the University of Buea, Cameroon and worked for two years in Cameroon before moving to USA. Due to her passion for partnering with mankind for health and wellness purposes in a free and non-judgmental environment, she went back to school and obtained her MSN, FNP in 2015.
Mrs. Awung is an enthusiastic Nurse Practitioner (NP), with over 19 years of progressively responsible experience, training, and continuing education in the healthcare industry. She worked as a registered nurse for over 10 years assuming different roles in different healthcare settings before obtaining her MSN-FNP-C. She has been a Nurse Practitioner for over 9 years with a lot of experience in different settings including medical weight management, functional medicine and aesthetics.
“I struggled with my weight a lot while growing up and have firsthand experience on what obesity does for you” she says.
Yolanda is such a detailed oriented individual and a perfectionist. She enjoys creating and boosting positive image and self-confidence through works of art and science. She is highly focused on her career goals and never stops learning. She loves to learn! Yolanda is constantly enrolling in training courses to improve her skills and to stay up to date with evidence-based practices.
